About the Aydın Sayılı Library
The Atatürk Culture Center, established in 1983 under the umbrella of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History, is a public institution with legal personality. The Library has also been in service since 1983.
Since 1994, the library has continued its operations under the name Aydın Sayılı Library, in honor of its founding president, Ord. Prof. Dr. Aydın Sayılı.
The Aydın Sayılı Library is a rich specialist library focusing on Turkish culture and civilization.
The library collection is built through donations, exchanges, and purchases. The core of the collection consists of resources belonging to prominent scholars such as Aydın Sayılı, Ahmet Edip Uysal, Tahir Çağatay, Ahmet Cemal Köprülü, Hamit Zübeyr Koşay, Şevket Rado, and Hüseyin Atay.
The library has one reading room, with a total seating capacity of 15.
