Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeki ERASLAN
Born in 1978 in Bayburt, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeki ERASLAN graduated from Hacettepe University’s Department of History and (Public Administration Institute for Türkiye and the Middle East (TODAIE) , earning the titles of Historian and Public Administration Specialist. He completed his doctoral studies at Hacettepe University with a dissertation titled From the Council of State to the State Council: Structural and Functional Transformation.
Since 2004, he has held various positions in public institutions and organizations, including Director, Institute Secretary, Personnel Branch Director, Strategy Development Director, Personnel Department Head, and Senior Advisor to the Presidency. On January 2, 2012, he was appointed as the Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Atatürk Culture, Language, and History under the Prime Ministry, a position he continues to hold. In addition to this role, he served as the Acting President of the Atatürk Culture Center from August 2016 to January 2018 and was reappointed as Acting President on January 2, 2019, a position he currently holds.
He has participated in and provided training on public personnel management, financial and procurement legislation, and protocol management. He has actively contributed to the preparation of laws, decrees, and various secondary regulations (regulations, directives), as well as strategic planning, performance programs, and activity reports.
ERASLAN currently chairs the Legislation Drafting Commission, the Supreme Council Disciplinary Board, and the Institutional Administrative Board. In 2013, he completed the 46th Term Public Diplomacy Training Program. He has participated in various research and study programs in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Iran, and Japan. In November 2014, he attended the OECD conference in Paris titled Innovating the Public Sector: From Ideas to Impact as part of a delegation. In 2013, he served as a member of the Advisory Board for Eskişehir’s designation as the Turkic World Capital of Culture.
ERASLAN is proficient in English and has an intermediate level of Persian. He is married and has three children.
