Dr. Ömer GÖK

Ömer GÖK, born in Ankara in 1989, completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara. He graduated from Kırıkkale University’s Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 2010. In 2013, he completed his master’s degree at the same university, and in 2020, he obtained his Ph.D. from the Social Sciences Institute of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. His doctoral dissertation was titled “Mustafa Sâfî’s Celâl ü Cemâl Translation (Analysis-Critical Edition).”

He began his professional career in 2013 as an Assistant Specialist at the Atatürk Culture Center, under the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language, and History. In 2018, he earned the title of Supreme Council Specialist. In February 2022, GÖK was appointed Deputy President of the Turkish Language Association. After serving in this position for two years, he was appointed Deputy President of the Atatürk Culture Center.

He has published five books (two co-authored), as well as scientific articles in various peer-reviewed journals. He has presented papers at national and international events and contributed encyclopedia entries. Additionally, his essays, book reviews, and analytical writings have appeared in magazines such as Arkakapak, Ayraç, kitap-lık, Türk Dili, Türk Edebiyatı, Yediiklim, and Söğüt.

He is married and the father of two children.
